Teaching Opportunity in Chicago

Attention Students: Application Deadline for the Volunteer Teaching Corps is January 21st! The Inner-City Teaching Corps (ICTC) is a non-profit education organization that transforms education and empowers children in the most underserved areas of Chicago through the provision of outstanding teachers and innovative education programs. One such program, the Volunteer Teaching Corps (VTC) brings together dynamic young women and men to work in the spirit of service and helping others help themselves. The VTC is founded on four living realities central to both the successful growth of its Corps members and their commitment to inner-city education: Teaching as Service; Simple Living; Faith-Based Community; and Spirituality. Also, while completing the program, corps members earn their Alternative Teaching Certification as well as 22 credits towards a Masters of Science in Education from Northwestern University.
