South Philly Editorial Internship

At South Philly Review, interns can see the creation of a newspaper from the ground up. College-level students and recent graduates looking for a real-world journalism experience are welcome to check out the Review's Internship Program. Learn the many facets of journalism, including, but not limited to, fact-checking, creative writing, interviewing, news judgment, article selection, the importance of accuracy and, if meeting certain benchmarks, going out on assignments for print and/or Web-exclusive articles.

There is no compensation for internships, but interns may receive college credit as well as bylines on Word on the Street and articles. Students must be available 10 to 15 hours a week.

Please include a résumé, published clips or writing samples along with a cover letter telling us about yourself and if you have interest in any one area. Also, note if you have any experience or interest in web-related work such as social media and/or HTML knowledge. Tell us your availability, school schedule or both, as well as a projected start date and how long you think you will be taking the internship.
