US Labor Department Public Relations Internship

The U.S. Labor Department's Regional Office of Public Affairs in Center City, Philadelphia, is actively recruiting for their 2013 Public Relations summer and fall internships! We are looking for undergraduate and graduate Journalism, Communication, Public Relations and/or English majors. NOTE: This is a for credit only internship. Students typically receive up to three (3) credit hours for successful completion of the internship. FYI - we provide a transit subsidy for our interns to assist with costs incurred commuting via public transportation using SEPTA or PATCO only. Women's Way of Philadelphia is advertising for a paid intern position for a graduate student this summer. It's pretty well paid ($6,000 for 10 weeks of full-time work running from late May/early June to mid/late August). Abbey Theatre Internship Grant

The Villanova University-Abbey Theatre Exchange program was established in 2011, linking the University’s College of Liberal Arts and Sciences with the prestigious national theater of Ireland. As a development of this historic intellectual and artistic partnership, Villanova has announced an “Abbey Theatre Internship Grant,” which will provide a University student with the funding to travel abroad and work for the Abbey Theatre for eight weeks during the summer of 2013. In addition to bringing the finest Irish theatre practitioners to Villanova, the exchange program now provides a grant for a Villanova student to intern at the Abbey Theatre during their prominent summer season. PYN Project Mastery: Improving Our City’s Schools

Philadelphia Youth Network is searching for people with strong backgrounds in writing for a new English Language Arts initiative. As a volunteer, you will use your talents to help Philly students improve their writing and critical thinking skills through a digital exchange that fits into your busy schedule. Villanova Annual Fund Intern

Intern will provide support to the Villanova Annual Fund and programs including but not limited to Senior Class Gift, Young Alumni Giving, Undergraduate Philanthropy and Reunion Giving. Help to grow these areas by generating content, increasing awareness and developing new strategies for reaching alumni, parents, friends and students. At South Philly Review, interns can see the creation of a newspaper from the ground up. College-level students and recent graduates looking for a real-world journalism experience are welcome to check out the Review's Internship Program. Learn the many facets of journalism, including, but not limited to, fact-checking, creative writing, interviewing, news judgment, article selection, the importance of accuracy and, if meeting certain benchmarks, going out on assignments for print and/or Web-exclusive articles.
